The Han Solo Season content will be free to all players starting May 16.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. This is a fairly tepid start to a highly anticipated event, but the stage has been set for a much larger finish. That being said, because the entire season revolves around the Solo: A Star Wars Story film that won't be released when Season 2 begins, it's possible those sorts of additions will be delayed until June. What's suspiciously absent are the new additions to the Hero roster that many Star Wars Battlefront 2 fans may have been expecting. Holographic effects will be removed starting May 16 and the process will continue into June. Every single map now feels even more like its original 2015 version. This is a very big step forward for the mod, because the differences are clearly visible. The multiplayer menu has been broken up into categories for Assault (Starfighter, Galactic Assault, Strike), Heroes vs Villains (core mode) and Operations (Ewok Hunt, Blast). All maps are now equipped with their original color grading from Star Wars Battlefront 2015.
